One of the richest and most rewarding ways to explore and develop your art practice is through an artist residency. Madderhouse Textile Studios provides studio time, equipment, skills sharing opportunities, and technical support through residency arrangements to artists working in a range of media. So far, the residencies we’ve hosted have been with artists who live locally and are able to dedicate a number of weeks or months to working in our shared studio on a part-time basis.
Fees
Madderhouse does not have an established charge for, or offer, residency fees. Artists supply their own materials, and their time is self-funded or available through individually sourced grants. Additional costs for consumable studio supplies such as inks, emulsion, inkjet printing, films and paper may apply, as well as for additional design consulting or instruction. Costs are ultimately up to the artist to determine based on the scope and scale of their residency.
