Machine Sewing 101

Machine Sewing 101

Are you feeling intimidated by that sewing machine in your closet you’ve been meaning to fire up? Dust it off this spring and join Kathryn Bahun at Madderhouse Textile Studios for an introductory sewing workshop. We’ll start with the basics: how it works, basic stitches and troubleshooting. After that you will learn about how to cut a pattern and put it together. Start building confidence by sewing your own tote bag, and get started on bigger and more exciting plans for the future. Refreshments provided.

Materials: Please arrive with thread, bobbins, a set of universal machine needles, and a recently tuned and working machine. Fabrics provided.
